What does 2019 look like for you?


Like me, I’m sure your social media feed has been filled with goals, resolutions and affirmations. On the most part, this can be a positive thing, a way to find some inspiration. For some people though, this can be the cause of overwhelm.

Don’t worry if you’re feeling lost and not sure what 2019 should look like.

Here’s how I set my goals…

  1. Reflect

What where the best parts of the year before? This can cover personal and professional highlights.

  1. Feel

How do you want to feel in 2019? Do you want to be filled with energy? Love? Peace? Once you know how you want to feel, you can work backwards and set goals to achieve that feeling.

  1. Dream

What was missing from last year that you dream to have in 2019?

Once you have a few goals from each of these areas, sit back and let them sink in. This isn’t something that you have to have squared away by midnight on Jan 1st! The more you are connected with your goals, the more success you will have. Remember to work backwards from the main goals and set little goals that will help you achieve the bigger ones. Also, remember to put some timeframes on the smaller ones, without some accountability you’ll feel lost and you’ll have the potential to flounder.

Most importantly, don’t put pressure on yourself. If, after a month or so, these aren’t sitting well or you aren’t feeling connected, review your goals and ask yourself why you aren’t achieving them. Reassess and reset – there is no right or wrong and it doesn’t matter what pace you are going, just as long as you are heading in the right direction for YOU.
